「國小開始」

When did you start learning dance?

"Elementary school begins"

為什麼對舞蹈有興趣？

「就是在電視上看到Michael Jackson的影片之後，然後就誤打誤撞，最先學爵士舞跟模仿Michael Jackson，然後去學的那個舞蹈教室居然是在培養要去考舞蹈系的，就跟著女同學們一起去考舞蹈系。」

Why are you interested in dance?

"After I saw Michael Jackson's video on TV, I accidentally started learning jazz dance and imitating Michael Jackson. Then I went to a dance studio that was training students to take the dance major, so I just followed him. The female classmates are going to take the dance department exam together."

在學舞的過程中，遇到了什麼困難？

「遇到最大的困難就是因為我的筋很硬，所以在過程中拉筋很痛。」

What difficulties did you encounter while learning to dance?

"The biggest difficulty I encountered was that my tendons were very hard, so it was very painful during the stretching process."

畢業後，是在台北藝術大學讀書，那為什麼最後沒有往專業的舞者發展，而是到雲林這個偏鄉的城市教小孩呢？

「本來是要往專業的方面去走，就是雲門舞集，因為我們學校是培養雲門舞集的舞者，主要就是現代舞，那時候我媽媽癌末，然後我是獨子，鄉下地方就比較傳統，所以就是叫我要回來，就毅然決然就回來雲林。」

After graduation, I studied at Taipei University of the Arts. So why didn’t I become a professional dancer in the end, but instead went to Yunlin, a remote city, to teach children?

"Originally, I wanted to pursue a professional career, which was Cloud Gate Dance Theatre, because our school trained dancers from Cloud Gate Dance Theater, mainly modern dance. At that time, my mother had terminal cancer, and I was an only child. In the countryside, there were It’s more traditional, so I was told to come back, so I decided to come back to Yunlin.”

從小的夢想就是當舞蹈老師嗎？

「從小的夢想是當舞者，不是舞蹈老師。」

Has your dream since childhood been to be a dance teacher?

"My dream since childhood was to be a dancer, not a dance teacher."

曾經後悔過做這個職業嗎？

「不會，因為我很喜歡舞蹈，我也很幸運就是說我愛舞蹈，然後我剛不是說誤打誤撞，真的去學現代舞芭蕾舞，也發現在舞蹈裡面可以找到自己，所以是沒有後悔過，就是舞蹈老師其實也是很有成就感。」

Have you ever regretted doing this career?

"No, because I like dance very much, and I am also very lucky. I just said that I love dance, and I just accidentally learned modern dance and ballet. I also found that I can find myself in dance, so there is no I regret it, even as a dance teacher, I actually feel very accomplished.”

你會給對舞蹈有熱情並想成為專業舞蹈家的學員們甚麼意見或建議?

「就是勇敢踏出那步就對了，然後不要有任何的動物實驗，就勇敢的往前走就對了，因為藝術這個行業就是你一定要舍我其誰的態度，然後勇往直前，不要想說會有後路，就是一直往前衝。藝術就是你一定要非常非常努力，很熱愛這個東西，你才能夠持久，不然藝術要走專業就是很枯燥無味。」

What advice or advice would you give to students who are passionate about dance and want to become professional dancers?

"Just take that step bravely, and then don't do any animal experiments, just move forward bravely, because the art industry is an attitude that you must give up, and then move forward bravely, don't say There will be a way out, just keep pushing forward. In art, you must work very, very hard and love this thing very much, so that you can last long, otherwise art will be very boring if you go professional."
